In 1991 a prototype assembled a BMX and a Snowboard. Nowadays, sliding has become essential and the new Snowscoot have become efficient while remaining fun in the same way as a snowboard or a pair of skis.

About 10,000 practitioners are registered in France.
Since 1997 the Snowscoot has had the approval of certain ski lifts and it is practiced in 9 out of 10 resorts in France.
